Compared to other hair extension methods, tape-ins are much gentler on your natural hair and scalp, minimizing damage while providing volume increase. Our model is wearing 2 packs of 18-inch, dark brown extensions.

Tape-in extensions offer versatility, allowing you to change your hairstyle frequently. They are suitable for a wide range of scenarios, from daily wear to special occasions, even in challenging conditions like exercise, swimming, or sleeping. The seamless and natural appearance of these extensions blends seamlessly into your natural hair, providing a realistic and undetectable solution for hair enhancement. They move and feel just like your own hair.

The key to ensuring a strong adhesive and long-lasting hold is to carefully follow the installation instructions, sandwiching your hair between two tape pieces. We recommend measuring either 10, 14, 16, 18, or 20 inches down from the top of your ear with a measuring tape, as most tape will be applied around the crown of your head. You can also choose the product length according to our picture if you prefer not to measure your own hair.

When curling or dyeing the extensions, it is important to avoid using high temperatures (over 300°F) as this can damage the hair. Only lighter colors can be dyed into darker shades, and bleaching may be required for significantly lighter colors. If not necessary, it is generally not recommended to bleach or dye the extensions, as this may compromise the hair quality.

To install the tape-in extensions, start by sectioning your hair at the lowest part of your scalp, creating a thin horizontal section. Position the adhesive side underneath the sectioned piece of hair, approximately 1/4 inch from the scalp. Then, carefully align the second tape piece directly above the first, sandwiching the natural hair in between. Use a flat iron on a low heat setting to gently press over the taped area for a few seconds to seal the bond.

When it's time to remove the extensions, use a professional tape remover on the contact part of the hair and tape. Wait 1-3 minutes, then gently peel off the tape. Avoid tearing the tape too hard, as this could damage your own hair. You can then wash your hair and replace the tapes as needed.

For a full head of extensions, we recommend purchasing 2-3 packages. The extensions can be worn while sleeping, and you should wait 48 hours before washing your hair after installation to allow the tape to fully adhere. To maintain the extensions, we suggest replacing the tapes every 4-6 weeks and using sulfate-free, natural hair products.
